MCR ACQUIRES THE COURTYARD BY MARRIOTT OXFORD AT OLE MISS

Rebels, we’ll see you at The Grove! The nation’s 4th-largest hotel owner-operator acquires the Courtyard by Marriott Oxford in Mississippi.

November 4, 2021

Are you ready? MCR — the country’s 4th-largest hotel owner-operator — has acquired the 121-room Courtyard by Marriott Oxford in Mississippi. This is the company’s first hotel in The Magnolia State.

Just a sprint from the University of Mississippi’s campus, the Courtyard by Marriott Oxford is a mile from The Grove, described as “the Holy Grail of tailgating sites” by Sporting News. Get your tickets for a home game at the famed Vaught-Hemingway Stadium — where former Ole Miss quarterback Eli Manning set 45 school records. Don your bow ties and Sperry Top-Siders and cheer with 64,000 fans as the Rebels take on Liberty, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt this November.

Whether you bleed blue and red or root for another school, you’ll find that the Courtyard is unrivaled in location and amenities. Fuel up before the big game at The Bistro, which serves breakfast, dinner and specialty beverages made with Starbucks coffee. Tackle your workouts at our fully equipped fitness center and indoor pool. And catch ESPN replays at the Green Roof Lounge, our stylish rooftop bar serving cocktails, light bites — and views of the stadium!

Kicking off the weekend solo? Choose a spacious guestroom with a microwave, mini refrigerator and superfast Wi-Fi. Bringing the whole team? Book a suite! The hotel has 18 of them, including the Loft (a duplex with a private patio and wet bar!) and the Presidential (a two-bedroom pad with separate sitting and dining areas).

Of course, Oxford isn’t just a football town. Bunk with us for an event at the nearby Oxford Conference Center or host colleagues at our place (we have more than 5,000 square feet of meeting space!). Each guestroom is equipped with a workspace, comfortable chair and ample outlets.

Venture further afield to The Square, the center of downtown Oxford, for some small-town Southern hospitality at the 70-plus restaurants, museums, art galleries and boutiques. Don’t miss Rowan Oak, the Greek Revival home where Nobel Prize-winning author William Faulkner churned out book after book.

The Courtyard by Marriott Oxford is located at 305 Jackson Avenue East and features:

● 121 pet-friendly rooms and suites
● A 24-hour sundry shop

● The Green Roof Lounge bar and restaurant
