It all began in 2006 with three Value Place hotels. Since then, through a series of development projects and acquisitions, we have grown to become the 4th largest hotel owner-operator in the United States. Our company, which has offices in New York City, Dallas, Chicago and Richmond, Virginia, has a $4.0 billion portfolio of 125 independent and premium-branded hotels containing more than 20,000 guestrooms across 34 states and 84 cities, including two experiential hotels in New York City. We have 3,600 team members across the country and operate hotels under 23 brands, including 9 Marriott brands, 6 Hilton brands and a number of unflagged independent hotels.

Our focus is driving value throughout our real estate portfolio, generating superior returns for our investors and providing a professional, integrity-driven, merit-based working environment for our team members.

We are a three-time recipient of the Marriott Partnership Circle Award, the highest honor Marriott presents to its owner and franchise partners, and the Hilton Legacy Award for Top Performer. For the TWA Hotel, we won the Development of the Year (Full Service) Award at The Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS), the Urban Land Institute New York Excellence in Hotel Development Award and the American Institute of Architects national Architecture Award, the highest honor given by the AIA. MCR was also named one of Fast Company‘s Most Innovative Travel Companies of 2020.

We are committed to developing and supporting the community through various organizations and education partners, including the Partnership for New York City, the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT).
