November 19, 2015

MCR Development LLC (“MCR”), the seventh largest hotel owner-operator in the United States, today announced it has completed renovations of two hotels in Phoenix, Arizona: the 123-suite Homewood Suites by Hilton Phoenix-Avondale and the 123-room Hilton Garden Inn Phoenix-Avondale. Both hotels opened in 2008 and are located in Phoenix’s West Valley in proximity to a variety of corporate and leisure demand generators.

The renovations involved updating all guest suites with new furniture and design décor to enhance guest comfort and satisfaction, as well as overhauling the lobby and common areas to provide more space and flexibility. The Homewood Suites by Hilton ‘Take Flight’ design enhancement will also include the opening of an inviting new outdoor public gathering space for guests to enjoy Phoenix’s pleasant year-round temperature. The Hilton Garden Inn’s ‘Project Grow’ concept includes redesigned banquet and meeting rooms as well as installing new state-of-the-art exercise and cardiovascular equipment in the fitness center.

The Homewood Suites by Hilton and The Hilton Garden Inn are conveniently located along I-10 in Avondale, in proximity to numerous corporate office locations, healthcare institutions such as Banner Thunderbird Medical Center and government facilities like Luke Air Force Base, the permanent home of the Naval Operational Support Center. In addition, the hotels are a short drive from the University of Phoenix Stadium, the home of the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals. Other nearby demand drivers include Phoenix International Raceway, a major NASCAR race track, and Goodyear Ballpark, the spring training home of both the MLB’s Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds.
