Big Mountains, Bigger Hot Tub

After a hearty continental breakfast (try some Vermont maple syrup — it makes everything taste even better!), hop on the free shuttle to Snowshed Lodge at Killington Mountain. You won’t have far to go: The hotel is just one mile from the Killington Ski Resort and only minutes from its sister resort, Pico Mountain. After a day of adventure, dine in front of the roaring fireplace, sip a local craft beer from the bar and soothe your muscles in the extra-extra-large hot tub (it fits 20 comfortably!).

An All-Season Delight

Centered in the scenic Green Mountains of the Appalachian Trail, Killington is a nature-lover’s paradise. In the warmer months, you can mountain bike, fish, hike, or golf on more than a dozen championship golf courses. As temperatures cool, the snowy peaks beckon skiers and boarders. The less athletically-inclined will find much to explore in the neighboring towns of Rutland and Woodstock (and at the charming shops at Quechee Gorge Village). And if you’re interested in moose-spotting, it’s an all-season event!
