Sheraton New York Times Square

New York, NY

Welcome to the gateway to Times Square! The bright lights and big city are at your doorstep — and, inside, all the comforts of home await. As the third-largest hotel in the Big Apple, the Sheraton New York Times Square has hosted celebrities, business magnates and politicians. In fact, the famous 17,000-square-foot ballroom in our 62,000-square-foot event center has held the Tony Awards, a New York Democratic Convention and the NFL Draft (go Jets and Giants!).

Legendary Location

Built to house the huge number of tourists attending the 1964 New York World’s Fair and opened as the Americana Hotel in 1962, the 50-story property was billed as “the world’s tallest hotel.” With five international restaurants, the hotel had an acre of kitchens! The hotel was the place to see and be seen in Manhattan: its Royal Box supper club featured performances by Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. and Liberace (who recorded two live albums at the nightclub)!

Manhattan Magic

Today, when you head back after taking in a Broadway show, you’ll enjoy luxurious linens, lightning-fast free Wi-Fi, on-site parking and a 4,000-square-foot fitness center that’s open 24/7 (after all, this city never sleeps!). Grab a Starbucks in the lobby or something stronger — maybe a Manhattan? — at our Library Bar. And don’t worry about overdoing the shopping. We have a FedEx Office so you can ship home mementos that can’t cram into your carryon.
